What the Caliphate means for the World

Share:

Two weeks ago, our illustrious President Obama stood in the White House and made the following statement:

“[T]he truth of the matter is that for all the challenges we face, all the problems that we have, if you had to be – if you had to choose any moment to be born in human history, not knowing what your position was going to be, who you were going to be, you’d choose this time. The world is less violent than it has ever been. It is healthier than it has ever been. It is more tolerant than it has ever been. It is better fed then it’s ever been. It is more educated than it’s ever been.”

  1. We need a plan. We need massive prayer to the Lord to help us. I cannot think of anything better.

  2. Joel,

I was watching Al Jazeera TV on this and their experts were saying that IS have done this much too prematurely and that this will not impress the majority of muslim radical groups or factions fighting in Iraq and elsewhere. al Qaeda are violently opposed to IS as are other groups in Syria, and what this risks doing is just causing bloodshed and division.

They couldn’t see many radical groups declaring allegiance.

Do you think this is wrong?

Thanks for your website and books

  3. JIhad is on the rise and POTUS declared the world to be “safer” and “less violent than it has ever been.” What audacious hyperbole. Is he out of his mind? This tells me that he is truly deluded and even mentally unstable. He even joked about crack being in the WH pies. What sort of man thinks that is even funny?

For a President of the United States to stand up and declare such absurdity is unparalleled in our history, not to mention the border crisis he has created by deliberately not protecting our sovereignty (what leader in the world does not protect his country’s borders?), and his continual blaming of others and refusal to take ANY responsibility for what is happening in this country.

This is not going to end well.

  4. Jake,

We’ll begint o know over the next few weeks and months. There are a few potential possibilities in terms of what this will result in. Inter-sunni rivalry and bloodshed or a Muslim sectarian war being two other equally likely options. As I have said elsewhere, I think regional war is inevitable. Can’t say when but its moving in that direction.

  5. There is another fantastic article concerning the history of Caliphates up at mahdiwatch.org by Dr. Furnish if anyone cares to read it.

  6. Agreed, Michael A. Dr. Furnish does an excellent analysis and backgrounder on the understanding, history and modern implications of an Islamic Caliphate and especially anyone who is trying to understand how this may affect them going forward. A recommend.

    Blessings!

  7. Reading Daniel again, it seems like there could be a “peacefull” caliphate, then the AC rises to power. Or, there may not be a united caliphate until the AC brings it in, with various groups warring with each other in the 10 nations/states/geography, much like now. What do you think Joel? The Beast that loves to kill is rising for sure!

  8. Sadly i was also thinking along those lines, this is a perfect go ahead for every have a go jihadist, to rise up where they are.

May you and your family be encouraged in your God as was David.

Truth crushed to earth, shall rise again.
The eternal years of God are hers:
But error vanquished, writhes in pain,
    And dies amid her worshipers.

  9. Sorry, i forgot to say i didnt write that verse,William Cullen Bryant did.

  10. Hi, Joel,
Re Daniel 7, is it possible that the symbolism of the Lion with Eagles wings which many believe refers to Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, may actually refer to the Caliphate led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi?

  11. Joel, would you shed light on this as well: We see some calling for another intifada, after the death of the Arab youth.

Do they want to stay in Israel, and be angry at the government, or do they want to go to the Caliphate? For me, it’s a no-brainer.

  12. My prediction…The naming of a Caliph is too soon…this will create divisions and strife within Islam. However, the real Caliph will be an amazing man of peace. He will resolve the divisions (kicked off by ISIS) that will now come, bring Islam together, promote peace with Israel, and revive the Ottoman Empire. Presto.

  13. ….the real Caliph will promote peace from the start unlike the current poser…this poser caliph is a type of John the Baptist, unbeknownst to him….

  14. I agree, he’s definitely a poser, but I think the Caliph who comes from Turkey will be more so. His peace will be a false peace, he will be full of lies, just like his father, the devil!

  15. I don’t think the Antichrist (Caliph?) will be uniformly viewed as a man of peace. Motivating the Covenant with Sheol is the desire in Israel to avoid the “overflowing scourge.” This is language that can only be seen as a threat. It doesn’t mean that he and the other horns and participants don’t make peaceful overtures, but to characterize them as peaceful is a stretch. The biblical language speaks of flatteries, which is another matter entirely.

  16. Is this the same guy?

  17. What’s strange to me is that many of the Roman/European anti-christ guys still think that Islam is going to be wiped out through a massive war soon to come. Funny, I’m sure in 1932 many people thought Hitler wasn’t going to be elected as Chancellor of Germany… and maybe some also thought, there’s no way that he could become the powerful dictator of Nazi Germany or that a mass genocide of the Jewish people could take place under his rule. It’s probable that many denied the sudden mass takeover of Europe by force was imminent. To deny the constant rising pressure in the Muslim world, and the anti-christ spirit at work within their religion, and to simply believe that they will all soon be “done for” is simply foolishness and a very strange denial based on poor interpretation of Scripture and ones own goals. The Caliph is in office, and who is in denial?
