Welcome to Joel’s Trumpet. The purpose of this blog is to discuss the emerging eschatological paradigm of the Islamic predominance of the Last-Days. That is to say that we will discuss the idea that Islam is and will be the primary vehicle of the Antichrist and his coming system. Through my personal experience with Christian/Muslim interfaith dialogue, I’ve talked with innumerable Muslims about innumerable topics. The following is an e-mail that was sent to the web-site: www.answering-islam.org on the 14th of November, 2004 from an American Muslim. It is a letter that should be posted in every American newspaper editorial collumn to possibley open the eyes of some who continue to doggedly hold onto the notion that Islam is a “religion of peace.” While the following e-mail is certainly not indicative of the attitudes of most Muslims in America, it is also certainly not a rarity. Many may be a bit shocked by some of the content of the letter. Many may even doubt it’s validity. As someone who has recieved death threats for sharing my Christain faith with Muslims, I can testify that this type of individual is very real and that he is far from alone. I perused your pathetic little attempt to discredit the Religion of God and his Great Prophet. Truly sad. i am not an apologist. Yes, the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) committed acts of violence. i have no problems with this. We are muslims, not passivists. Sometimes in life you have to fight. you dont have to stand tall, but you do have to stand up.I do not rectify the violence of terrorists, nor do i rectify the acts of violence made by 2000 years of Christian tyranny and violence. Its destruction of polytheist cultures, its 1000 years of genocidal mission toward jews, and its persecution of free thinkers such as Galileo, Bruno, and Capurnicus.The Eurpoean and American Witch trials, and the “Christian terrorism” of the Irish, the KKK (a Whitye Anglo-Saxon CHRISTIAN terrorist organzation). We should ask the nomadic Avars how much they love the religion of the “Prince of Peace”….oh wait, we cant. They were completely wiped out in a genocidal effort by Charlemagne because they refused to convert to the Paulian Blood Cult you laughingly call “The Way”.
Christianity has been the scourge of this planet. It has caused more pain, torture, and death than any other fanatical movement ever invented.So take a look in the mirror the next time you start to criticise us.
Islam DOES condone violence under the right conditions.If you threaten our community, our faith, or our home and way of life, then we are ORDERED by God to defend what is ours.We do not turn the other cheek, we kick your ass–and all in the name of God. But Islam gives us very stiff guidelines; rules of engagement if you will.You may not kill a non-combatant, a woman, child, or elderly person. You may not destroy trees, buildings,or burn fields. And under no circumstance are you to kill a muslim. This is all in black and white and not up to “interpretation”.Anyone who violates them is going to Hellfire and in violation of Islam.
Your evaluation is correct.We muslims do not play PC games.God gave us laws and rules, just like the jews and we follow them no matter what a group of “enlightenment” philosophers think.That is man-made, not divine law.In Islam to blaspheme the Prophet Muhammad(or any prophet) is to be put to death. Pagans are to convert or die.Period. As it should be. People such as wiccans,New Agers,and Hindus are parasites to gods planet. By 2025 we will be the majority religion in the world.We have doubled our number in the last 20 years, and in America we now outnumber the jews.Where one mosques wre only found in a few cities just ten years ago, now they are popping up in almost all towns and suburbs. The call to Prayer can be heard over loudspeakers in most large cities now, where in 1980 it would have been unheard of. We are the fastest growing religion in the world, with 20,000 converts in this country a year. 8 out of ten are women, who will marry muslim men, and have muslim children, thus elevating our numbers in this country double or triple in the next 20 years.Islam, whether you like it or not, is the future of this planet, and a future fast approaching.May Allah be praised!

So you dont like us? You want us “controlled in America” you say? Too bad. We have fredom of religion in this country, and are protected by the 2nd Amendment and the Title 7 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Fire us, we sue. persecute us, we get sympathy and thus more converts. Burn down our mosques, we build a new one with the sympathetic donation (often from church groups) and the guilty go to prison.And all the time, we get larger, richer,and become more of an influence in this country.
We are your police, your grocers, your secretaries, doctors, lawyers, school teachers, and neighbors. Your children go to school with our children. Omar and Muhammad are now almost as common in a school roster as Brendan and Michael.
We are here. We are getting larger by the minute. We are taking over this planet. And theres NOTHING you can do about it.

well we shall see, when you’re standing in the throne of God in judgement day and God asks you why you did not accept Christ as the only way of salvation. because there will be no excuse, you either accept that Christ died for your sins in calvary and live with God for eternity, or you reject Him and you go to hell for ever.

Your response is certainly not surprising. Very few Christians have encountered many Muslims who actually express what they think about Christianity as straight forward as Ali has here. And certainly while not all Muslims share his degree of venom, the truth is that far more do sahre his opinions than we would like to think. The question that very few ask is whether or not this individual is this way due to his own personal issues or if it was Islam that has led him into this spirit. If we study the life of Muhammad as well as the texts of Islam and the opinions of early Muslim scholars such as Ibn Kathir, we will see that it very well may be Islam that has led this fellow to become who he is. If only Ali and others would turn to Christ who alone can give them a new heart and wash their sins. Thanks for your comments.

i find it fascinating the obvious difference between christianityn and islam. I think Ali demonstrates through his viewpont the obvious differnce between our faiths, love. It is somehing completely absent in his beliefs. jesus demonstrated love, muhammed and islam demonstrate an almost satanical beliefs. true islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, it just demonstrates to anybody familar with biblical prophecy that satan is using islam as the great deceiver. God gave us all free will, however that is something that is clearly foreign to islam. The difference between Ali and a true christian, is that we will pray for people like him.

Thank you. Now that you have told me to “Get a life man!” I suddenly feel the Love of Christ all around me.
I watched the trailer for the film. Excellent. Would you say that if I made avideo where I clipped and pasted bizzare comments from every teen-age pot-head, drug-addict, cross-dresser, anti-fur-monger or anti-war protestor, that I would be accurately representing the population of the blue states? Or would I be very desperate and dishonest? The Phelps bunch from Topeka? God hates fags? My goodness. Very real portrayal of the world that most Christians live in. Sure. Word to Carlos: I wasn’t born again yesterday. : ) But at least the graphics were good. Carlos, just to prove how pyschic I am. I’m gonna guess your age. Or, The Apostate Who Wasn’t All There

It seems I give Skeptics too much credit at times. When readers asked me to look into the new DVD The God Who Wasn’t There, I expected the film to be a somewhat scholarly (as far as these guys can get) review of the best case for the Christ myth.
What I got was so bad it makes The Bible Fraud look like peer-reviewed scholarship.
How does it actually break down? By percents:
20% a documentary on Earl Doherty’s Christ myth theory (though Doherty does not appear!)
20% pagan copycat garbage (he actually makes use of Graves’ “16 Crucified Saviors” list as well as the Freke-Gandy “crucified Bacchus” forgery!)
20% whining about the religious right
10% whining about how bloody “The Passion” was
30% Flemming throwing a hissy over his fundy upbringing, to the point of him childishly ending the film in the chapel he was “saved” in and declaring his apostasy there in “nanny nanny boo boo” fashion
Some random thoughts otherwise, for a mostly random film:
Flemming appears to be a man with serious psychological problems. He has gone from being an Christian who was gullible and ready to believe anything to a Skeptic who is gullible and ready to believe anything. His eyes look more dead than toxic waste. He apparently lied to his former school principal about the purpose of his interview with him.
I rather wonder if some of his interviewees (like Richard Carrier) know they were being used in a film that gave Graves’ crucified saviors list a highight.
No new arguments, of course — all Flemming uses has been refuted time and again on this website: late dates for the Gospels; Marcan priority and Q; appeal to the Sanhedrin trying Jesus at night, and especially use of Doherty’s “silence” argument
I found amusing Flemming’s “Christian on the street” interviews in which he asked people if they had ever heard of Mithra, Attis, etc. (under the assumption that his nonsense pared from the likes of Graves was accurate). I really wish he’d run into some Tekton readers instead, but I expect he would have edited all of that out.
Flemming seems to have been particularly hot and bothered over “Left Behind” eschatology, which leads me to wonder what he’d have to whine about to a preterist.
Flemming selects the wackiest persons he can to represent Christianity, to the point of even claiming David Koresh (!) as one. I suppose then that I can tale Stalin as the best representive of his set. Had Flemming tried his nonsense with a Ben Witherington, it likely would have been edited out.
Is this film a threat? Not hardly. It’s just the ravings of one working out his past frustratations. Flemming would never survive debate with an informed Christian.

The signs are obvious. It seems that the rat from hell named Satan is really looking at his clock, knows his time is short and unfortunately, Muslims are his favorite instruments to spew out his fury. All of you who hate Jesus and hate Christians and Christianity, believe it or not, we still love you and we will love you till the clock stops ticking and the age of grace is up. Lock us up in cold prisons as they do in N.Korea and we who are true followers of Jesus will still pray for your salvation and for your hearts to accept the One who IS THE ONLY WAY. ALi, you may hate me for saying this, but, soon you will wake up with a desperation for Christ. And HE will save you.

Ali, you will learn at the throne of GOD that ‘’we christians'’ are not loosing to you Muslims. The war has already been won through Jesus’ death and resurrection and satan already knows this. Even he believes in GOD! Jesus IS LORD and Savior to all. Christians pray for those who don’t know our Lord and we will until the Trumpet Call. It is truly clear to us that not only do you not understand anything about true Christianity but are not willing either. It is sad to see an intelligent person judge another on false facts. If you EVER want the truth about what a true Christian is, I know for a fact Joel’s Trumpet would love to educate you. Don’t judge us on someone claiming to be a Christian. We too have those who are mis-guided. May you accept the love of GOD before it is too late.
