The ‘Osama Spring’ must become the ‘Obama Autumn’

While some still refer to the revolution that swept through the Middle East as the “Arab Spring,” many others, particularly Muslims throughout the Middle East, refer to it more properly as the “Islamic Awakening.” As history will forever testify, President Barack Obama’s role in the unfolding of the Islamic Awakening was to support or assist in the overthrow of two leaders (so far), resulting in two new Islamist governments in Egypt and Libya. Allāhu Akbar!

And now history will also testify that it was precisely these two nations that used the anniversary of 9/11 to thank President Obama and the American people by attacking two U.S. embassies, violating and burning the American flag, replacing it with the black flag of the Islamic caliphate, and murdering U.S. diplomats, all the while shouting the taunting slogan: “Obama, we are all Osama!” How ungrateful are these people, anyway? Surely, Obama hasn’t explained himself to these people thoroughly enough. Perhaps, if he is given four more years, the Islamists will finally come to understand his good intentions.

And where was the Egyptian military as the “protesters” were desecrating the American flag and penetrating the embassy walls? One would think that perhaps a small portion of the $1.3 billion in aid the United States gives to Egypt annually might be used to help safeguard our embassy. Well, such may have been the case in the age of Bush and Mubarak, but no more. “Change has come” to Egypt, and as Obama jubilantly declared on the day Mubarak was ousted, “The people of Egypt have spoken. Their voices have been heard. And Egypt will never be the same … but this is not the end of Egypt’s transition. It’s the beginning.” This is no longer the age of Bush and Mubarak; this is the age of Mursi and Obama. Takbir!

In the immediate aftermath of the attacks, the contrast in responses and the leadership displayed by the Romney campaign and the Obama administration was vividly crisp.

The Obama administration, as it has typically been the past four years in virtually every important foreign-policy decision, was schizophrenic. First, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo issued an apology. If you haven’t read the official grovel, here it is in its original form:

“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. … Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”

But after Mitt Romney condemned this shameful response, the White House quickly threw the Embassy under the bus, repudiating the statement.

The Embassy immediately deleted five Tweets.

But then, after walking back the apology, Obama walked back yet again. In his official statement concerning the murders in Libya, he simply couldn’t condemn the attacks without tempering his words with a sympathetic hat tip to the murderous Islamist children who believe that throwing violent hissy fit will cause the United States to quickly bow:

“While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.”

Whatever the heck ever happened to cultural confidence? Let’s be clear; when any religion forbids freedom and liberty, demanding our “submission,” then, heck yeah, we will denigrate those beliefs. And we make no apologies for it!

On the other hand, Romney’s senior foreign policy adviser, Rich Williamson, had a very American response, stating in clear terms that the attacks can be directly blamed on “the loss of American leadership and prestige throughout the Middle East because of the Obama administration’s failed policies in that region.” And other than a few cultishly loyal followers of Obama like Chris Matthews, and Obama himself, who can honestly deny this with a straight face?

Williamson went on to say:

“The events in Egypt and Libya show the failure of the Egyptian and Libyan governments to uphold their obligations to keep our diplomatic missions safe and secure and the regard in which the United States is held under President Obama in these two countries… It’s all part of a broader scheme of the president’s failure to be an effective leader for U.S. interests in the Middle East.”

Williamson is absolutely correct. These attacks were not about a poorly made movie about Muhammad. The attacks in Egypt and Libya were staged, coordinated and well planned events, the specific purpose of which was to insult America and push for the implementation of Islamic Shariah law, which forbids any criticism or insults of Muhammad. The attacks were planned, sponsored and instigated by the al-Nour party in Egypt, which received roughly 38 percent of the Egyptian vote in the last elections.

But while Obama has fallen for the ploy that this is all about offended religious sensibilities, the reality is that this was about celebrating the Islamic victory of 9/11. This was about celebrating “al-Qaida day.” Yet Obama still grovels.

Of course, none of this comes as a surprise. For many of us who understand what the biblical prophets warned of, we have long understood that President Obama’s abominable foreign policy blunders throughout the Islamic world would only facilitate and empower the rise of the Mideast Beast, or the Islamic caliphate. What Bush warned of, and the liberal media mocked, Obama is helping to create. God forbid if he has four more years.

While far too many Americans seem to have been forgiving of the president for having assisted in the creation of at least two new America-hating Islamist governments, we will not forgive him for his tepid and un-American response to yesterday’s attacks and murders.

The emerging “Osama Spring” must become the Autumn of Obama.

  1. Right on Joel…I was shocked and awed by the blatant cowardice of the supposed leader of the free world. The man is an obamanation…Americans get killed and he apologizes to the killers… I am reminded of Queen Victoria when some country took her ambassador hostage, or something like that…she wacked their backside in a war. There is no moral courage in the Western Leaders any more as they apostatise from God and call good ecil and evil good.

  2. Stop the lies Joel. Claiming that the acts of a few somehow represent the views of the majority is just absurd. The Libyan attack was terrorist attack by Gaddafi loyalists and other splitter groups ironically for America aiding in liberating Libya. Secondly Libya does not have an Islamist government. Thirdly for decades the US supported oppressive dictators in the Middle East and elsewhere. Do you expect those oppressed to just ignore the past? Naturally some (a minority) in Egypt still detest American foreign policy and this unfortunately resulted in the embassy attack.
Why not highlight the opposing view.

Romney’s statements were wrong and are now backfiring.

Blaming this on Obama is just stupid what’s happening today is the blowback of decades of atrocious American foreign policy. Watch a few Ron Paul foreign policy videos on Youtube. To get you started:

  3. Muhammad,

It is ironic and extremely revealing that after claiming that only a few radicals carried out these attacks, you would post a link to Ron Paul/Robert Pape’s thoroughly discredited “blowback” theory which essentially justifies their actions. http://www.wnd.com/2012/01/ron-pauls-saul-alinsky/

This is so typical of too many of the so-called moderate Muslim’s response. On one hand, you decry what has happened, and then you pull out the ol’ blowback theory which says that they attack us because we deserve it. That we have brought it on ourselves. Typical schizophrenic response.

  4. I do not condone attacks on innocent civilians and implying that I do is tactless and fallacious.I’m not claiming that ALL acts of violence against the US, committed by Muslims, are solely a result of US foreign policy. There are various contributing factors responsible for terrorism. Far more Muslims have been killed by terrorists than have non-Muslims certainly proves that. However, your assertion that that blowback does not exist is patently false. Denying what terrorists themselves claim as being reasons for their behaviour is ridiculous.

  5. As the radical Islamists wave furiously their Jihadi black flags it appears the hatred for the West will be unstoppable. The West’s vain attempts to calm such irrational hatred is ineffective and Islamists will eventually go in for the kill to bring down the West at all costs. The killing of the US Libyan Ambassador is is only the recent event of continue bloodshed until the goal is achieved and the prophesied Islamic Caliphate (the Bible’s prophetic Beast) is a reality. The Word of God is sure…Islam will be no more when the Son of God returns to earth from heaven in fierce anger to avenge His people. But in the mean time, the world must endure the growing and menacing threat to human freedom called Islam. For the world will grow darker before the Son light appears to stop the Caliphate Beast. We can only watch as the prophetic Word of God is played out on 24 hour cable news channels…*sigh*

  6. Muhammad, I agree with you that Muslims are the first victims of Islamic fundamentalism. It is more liberally minded or the more conscience oriented Muslims who are always victims of those who follow Muhammad’s example and the Sunnah in a strict way. Unfortunately, many Muslims are leaning toward stricter Islam. My advice for Muslims of this stripe is to simply convert to Christianity and embrace the truth, as well as a truly peaceful religion.

    Blessings

  7. The LORD bless and keep you, make His face to shine upon you in favor and turn His countenance toward you to establish you in shalom!

Miss you, brother! Keep up the good work…praying for you.

  8. This means only one thing…. Our Lord Jesus will soon return. It is time for all people of the world to accept Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior regardless of race, status, belief, & religious affilliation for it is written: “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Joh 3:18.

Thanks Joel, we are praying for you. Keep up the good work.

  9. Obama hates the West and has dreams “from” his fathers who were Muslim. Bush and Cheney went into the ME for Big Oil. Ron Paul, who is the only honest statesman out there, his blow-back theory is correct. And He who sitteth in the heavens laughs; the Lord shall have them in derision, Ps.2:4. We should laugh too as God sets the end-time table. This is way beyond politics.

  10. While Obama is not the Messiah, neither is Ron Paul. I do love him, but only Jesus is perfect and the true coming Savior. However, “blow back” is not his theory. It is Robert Pape’s and it has been disproven by multiple sources. It is not to say that it is 100% false, of course not. But Paul’s emphasis on this theory and his refusal to understand the true nature of Islam is his one major weakness. I genuinely believe if not for this, he would have had a chance.

  11. Obama is acting disgracefully towards the Islamic world, but America is probably facing worse days ahead if the Temple Mormon Romney is elected.

Mormonism is candy coated poison and has disturbing parallels to Islam.

I think his faith will negatively affect America’s policies towards Israel.

    I wouldn’t trust him.

Alas what choice do American’s have? I know its a dilemma. Its seems humanism: alias democracy is on trial. Mankind is simply not qualified to govern himself.

I view Islam as a curse: God has allowed it to take root in countries that have apostasized from Him: those countries that mistreat His people Israel. America under Obama has not been a friend to the Hebrews.

The lynched Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was purportedly Pro Palestinian.

The Gentile nations are going irrationally mad: incapable of seeing and dealing with the existential threat of Islam period.

  12. I’ve been reading that the protests in Egypt were planned in advance and that they had to do with Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman. The theory is that the movie was mentioned just to get muslims in other countries riled up. Is it just me or does that sheik look like the description of the Dajjal in Islamic eschatology?

  13. Joel, wouldn’t you agree that Obama has been motivated in setting the ME on fire by his Muslim/anti-colonialism heritage?

Secondly, aren’t you afraid a preemptive strike on Iran could easily trigger WW III, remember Sarajevo?

Thirdly, don’t you think our wars on Iraq were a big mistake? Not to mention our whole ME policy since we stabbed the Shah of Iran in the back in the early 80’s.

  14. Joel,

Ron Paul’s refusal to recognise the Islamic threat and his acceptance of the blowback theory is not his only problem.

I remember that there were newsletters issued by Ron Paul’s name which were of anti-Semitic nature. Furthermore, in an interview with Iran’s Press TV after Israel’s 2008-2009 war with Hamas in Gaza, he repeated the blood libel that Israel is running a concentration camp in Gaza. His supporters are also known to include anti-Semites masquerading as anti-Zionists as well as 9/11 truthers, which he refuses to disavow. Some links about Ron Paul:

    Regards,
    A Conservative

  15. Conservative, if the Muslims are responsible for 9-11 then tell me how Building #7 came down. After the end of the cold war the military-industrial complex needed a new nemesis and decided to make it radical Islam. Never the less, God used the blind leading the blind to set the table for the final battle of Armageddon. Issac vs. Ishmael.

  16. It’s a mistake to think that Ishmael is representative of the Muslim world. While the story of Ishmael and his rejection may inform their psyche, remember that Islam is a worldwide phenomenon and a large number of people even in the Arab world are not Ishmaelites. The amount of mixture is staggering. This is what gives rise to the word “Arab” in the first place.

  17. Regardless of who’s responsible for 9-11 God let it happen to set the stage for the final chapter of the greatest story ever told. The sibling rivalry of Ismael and Issac are the perfect bookends. The Church Age is a parenthesis in this story with the 7 year tribulation being last of Daniel’s 70 weeks. The trib is mainly concerned with Israel (the Women of Rev. C. 12), the manchild (144,000 Jews) and the remnant (which is always a reference to the believing Jews). The Church, which is never mentioned in Rev. C.6-19, will have been long gone.

  18. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

Rev 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”

Rev 12:13 When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.

Rev 12:14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach.

Rev 12:15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent.

Rev 12:16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

Rev 12:17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring–those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

This last verse is about us, the Church. The argument that because the word “Church” is not mentioned, as evidence that we are not present, is a deeply flawed argument. There are many ways and many terms used throughout the NT to refer to the Church. Here, it simply says, “those who obey the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus”.

  19. Joel, in verse 17 above,”the rest of her off spring” is translated “remnant” in the King James and refers to those Jews not saved as part of the 144,000 manchild. These are they who believed in Jesus after seeing the 144,000 Jewish Christians missing all of a sudden from the earth. Again, the word remnant is never a reference to the Church in scripture. The tribulation is commonly called Jacob’s trouble (Jer. 30:4-7) and deals primarily with the Jews.

  20. Dolph,

The time of Jacob’s Trouble does take place during the final seven years, but in no way does this preclude the gentile believers from also being on the earth during this time.

In Rev. 7, the 144,000 are from the 12 tribes of Israel. The great crowd are not Jewish, but from every tongue, tribe, nation. They have come out of the Great Tribulation.

  21. The Arab Spring is a huge misnomer, pure and simple. It was the positive spin that the West tried to put on revolts to overthrow their dictators, but as we have seen in Gaza, Iran, Egypt, Tunisia and even Turkey, when a Muslim country is given a “democratic” choice, they elect officials who believe that Islam should be a factor in government. Unfortunately, these same leaders will have little respect form the “democracy” that put them in power as it is not a tenet of Islam. The Arab Spring will lead to more radicalism and fundamentalism in the Middle East. That much is certain. http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/looking-luke/2012/sep/13/killings-libya-fruits-arab-spring/
