Wow…that music is quite…I can’t even think of a good adjective for it.
When he was talking about those with different beliefs not having to change under the Turkish Union, I couldn’t help thinking of the quote, “You can have it in any color you want - as long as it’s black.” I noticed his praising of those Christians and Jews who have learned the “truth” from the Quran and rejected such doctrines as the Trinity. I would be curious to know what he thinks of those who believe that Jesus is God’s Son, if they’ll be allowed to continue in that belief and share it with others. I realize that Christians and Jews are considered the people of the book, but would Allah have any grace for them if they believe that Jesus is the Son of God? If they don’t believe that, then they’re not Christians (although I know many Jews don’t accept that either).
He does have that charismatic spirit about him, doesn’t he?
Who wouldn’t want to live in this world. Free trade, freedom of religion, open borders, endless wealth, but when it rears its ugly head (seven to be exact) I don’t want to be hear. I don’t think the bible states that the tribulation begins immediately when this beast is born. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it could be in existence for 10, 15 or even 20 years. Maybe longer.
What was interesting to me was his statement about once the union was formed, who could stand against it, and who could even think to wage war against it (paraphrase). Sounds familar.
When he describes the excessive wealth I am reminded of the
Mohammedan practice of killing and looting their neighbors.
Then I think of Auschwitz, when the Jewish people were stripped of all possessions and there were store houses full of items which had been taken from them. Even the women’s hair.
I notice when he says that Christians and Jews will be welcome in this Islamic utopia he fails to mention what will happen to the ones who refuse to bow to the Islamic god.
You have to admit — the tune is kinda catchy. You could call it the H1N1 of the musical world, just behind “The Song That Has No End” and the theme from “Barney the Dinosaur.”
His statement “We are bound by religion, but each state will remain separate” reminds me of the iron/clay vision.
It is interesting that he says they will be the leader in the of the IU in the EU- I still can’t figure how the EU paradigm and the Islamic paradigm come together. Clearly they are both advancing rapidly.

I will have to try and watch this again when I can tolerate the kazoo orchestra.

Amazing - this is the message that could bring the last empire into existence. Joel, how captivating was this man when you interviewed him?
Oh, and I do not want to captured by these guys - to be constrained and have to listen to that music.

Can’t say he’s aiming too low!

OK…I survived the kazoo assassination attempt and listened to most of this…will have to watch it again when I will have no interruptions.
I don’t know what to say other than this gentleman and his words are exactly what I am expecting. The casual boldness is disarming.
Also, those statements in the transitions are classic. I may need to capture those and compile. We have a new breed of Chuck Norris sayings here.

I never noticed how Slavic the Turkish accent sounds.
It sounds closer to Russian than to a Middle Eastern language.

Not a bad band name…”The Kazoo Orchestra”

LOL…I think the instrument is called a pungi…but all I can see when I hear them is an army of kazoo players coming over the horizon.

This guy is definitely a charming and eloquent man. When does the part about killing the infidels come into play? After the initial peace?

Will the antichrist play the kazoo? Joel what say you?
November 4th, 2009 at 10:05 am
I always thought kazoo music was (wink!) beastly.
