Chuck Missler: The Antichrist, A Mistaken Identity
I encourage you all to click here to watch Chuck Missler speak concerning the Antichrist and his mistaken identity. I may not agree with every facet of Missler’s perspective, but I am very much appreciative and in agreement with his overall message. Excellent discussion!

Could the ” Assyrian” imply people of Islam or any Muslim not necessarily an Assyrian national?

I think we need to leave open the possibility that “the Assyrian” could be simply referring to someone who lives within the greater region of the former Assyrian Empire. We need to be careful demanding precisely what the usage of a word intones. Sometimes a word may be used in a very specific form, and other times it may be rather general. For instance, in Daniel 11, when it mentions “Edom, Moab and the foremost sons of Amman”, it seems as though that three-fold usage is referring to modern day Jordan. Yet in other places, Edom is used in much broader terms to essentially refer to the eastern peoples / enemies of Israel in general. For instance, in Psalm 137, the “sons of Edom” are refrred to as “the daughter of Babylon”. Technically they may not be physical ancestors, but here they are referred to as being in essence related.
Remember, O LORD, against the sons of Edom
The day of Jerusalem,
Who said, “Raze it, raze it,
To its very foundation!”
8 O daughter of Babylon, who are to be destroyed,
Happy the one who repays you as you have served us!
9 Happy the one who takes and dashes
Your little ones against the rock!

Joel,Lets take this a step futher. you say,”leave open the possibility that the Assyrian could be simply referring to someone who lives within the greater region of the former Assyrian Empire.” Daniel’s prophecy and John’s revelation tells us about what is “in the future” not at that time, hench the referance “Assyrian”. They can not give an exact name, the refence “Assyrian” is what they know. Iraq, Syria and Islam did not exsit so the name “Assyrian” is what they tell us. Assyrian therefor could reference, The people of Islam or a step futher, Assyrian could reference any person of Islam?

Missler has been saying this for a long time. He’s also a rapture guy. A pretty interesting mix.
